It was neat but kind of like going to the grand canyon. Ok for a few minutes then the coolness wears off

Yes, the eclipse is pretty anti-climatic as can be. It's cool, and very different, but is what it is. Although cool, still not worth the hype IMHO, so I agree with you there. I've never been to the Grand Canyon, but I'm 100% positive it would be a MUCH more memorable and climatic experience. lol Always have liked you though, Klstep. At least I think? Right?

At least I think? It’s ok to agree. Long before today, political differences didn’t impact friendships and inter personal relationships . My Dad and 2 uncles served in WW2. Young men were pulled from all over the US. They formed the most devastating killing machine in the history of mankind. Then, returned home to raise families. I grew up inside an American Legion. Never did I hear someone rail against the political leanings of another. Not did I hear derogatory comments regarding someone’s state of origin. And I heard a lot of shit talking. LOL

LOL Similar background. My Dad and three uncles in the war. My Dad was on Temac with the Navy and enlisted me at sixteen. Went to Boot Camp at Great Lakes that summer. People picked on me until this big 6 foot 5 inch muscular dude made them all stop. His only comment to me was that he couldn’t blow his own nose at sixteen. But he was twenty five. I got a deferment to finish college and did not go on active duty until nineteen. Will mention how I got my Top Secret clearance another time. But my martial arts stories are true. After a while my teacher stopped sparring with me because of my quickness. Not that I would have struck him anyway. I had far too much respect.
